Disbursements
States’ component of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), is approved for disbursement quarterly by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Gateways in accordance with the Revised BHCPF Guidelines 2.0. The funds are designated for further disbursement to support the delivery of quality essential primary healthcare services across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). They are to be utilized for the implementation of approved interventions in the Local Government Areas and benefitting healthcare facilities, in strict compliance with the accountability, transparency, and reporting requirements stipulated in the Revised BHCPF Guidelines. Official Notification: Q1, Q3, Q4 2023 & Total 2024 Disbursement Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF)
Disbursements to States under the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Gateways are made to the respective States through their Primary Health Care Boards (SPHCBs) and Social Health Insurance Agencies (SSHIAs) respectively.

3RD Quarter 2025 Disbursement, To The 36 States And The FCT Through The NPHCDA, NCDC, EMTC & NHIA Gateways
Funding under the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Gateway is utilized at the national, state and LGA levels for surveillance and emergency response.


Official Notification: Q1 & Q2 2025 BHCPF Disburement
Disbursements under the Emergency Medical Treatment Committee (EMTC) Gateway is made directly to benefitting Emergency Service Providers from the National Level, while operational funds are disbursed only to States that are currently fully onboarded on the Gateway.


The Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) was established under the National Health Act of 2014 to provide a dedicated and sustainable source of financing for primary health care in Nigeria.
